One of the characters appearing in The Deadly Stingaree is the middle-aged Wyatt Earp. Earp was a San Diego resident for several years in the late 19th century, running a gambling hall and bordello and hoping to make his fortune in the real estate market. Wyatt Earp In San Diego: Life After Tombstone by Garner A. Palenske is the definitive historical chronicle of that time. It was a valuable tool for me in establishing the veracity of the story told in in The Deadly Stingaree.

The winner of this month’s drawing will receive a hardback edition of the book plus a signed paperback edition of The Deadly Stingaree. Two runner-up winners will receive Advance Reader test copies of The Deadly Stingaree.
